THURSDAY 9 BALL – 26th DECEMBER : TONG WINS.

Boxing Day’s 9 Ball Competition was completely dominated by the Thai players, with the Top 4 places all being taken by the home nation.

And it was Bangkok based player Tong Songyouth Wattanasagonpunt who pulled clear of the pack to go all the way to the 1st Prize of 6000 baht.

From a total entry of 36, he beat local player Wao in the deciding rack of the final (race 5-3) and his handicap now moves up to A+10 as a result.

Wao, playing here for just the ninth time, did well to reach the final and took home 3000 baht in 2nd.

His handicap also moves up by one rack to A+7.

New player Cj from Bangkok and Ann Muy Moolkesorn from Udon Thani completed the clean sweep of the Top 4 for the home nation, collecting 1500 baht each as losing semi-finalists.

Champion : Tong (A+9) – 6000 baht.

Runner-Up : Wao (A+6) – 3000 baht.

Semi-finals : Cj (A+8) and Ann (A+3) – 1500 baht each.

Quarter-finals : Pipe Tanut Makkamontree (A+20), Erik Dornick (A+9), Younis Ahmad (A+7), and Dietmar Ptak (A+3) – 750 baht each.

Player Auction Results (Pot Total 31900 baht) :

1st : Andreas Rellstab (Tong) – 9500 baht.

2nd : Jarmo Smedroos (Wao) – 6400 baht.

Equal 3rd : Texas Dave (Cj) and Sami Granqvist (Ann) – 3600 baht each.

Equal 5th : Jarmo (Pipe), Myself (Erik D), Gerhard (Younis) and Adam (Dietmar) – 1800 baht each.
