Thurs 12-12 : Sascha Wins

Sascha Kei from Germany won his first tournament here since August last year on Thursday night, going all the way to glory in our 9 Ball Competition.

From a total entry of 24, he beat Bangkok based Thai, Tong Songyouth Wattanasagonpunt in the deciding rack of the final (race 5-7) to bag the 1st Prize of 5500 baht.

He needed his “second life” to qualify through the groups after losing his second match of the night, but from there on he raised his game to win five matches on the spin to claim the win.

Tong also lost in the group stages in his first match of the competition, before finding his form to win his next five and reach the final. He pocketed 3000 baht in 2nd.

Two of our champion’s fellow countrymen, Dietmar Ptak and Gerhard Schebler were the other money winners on the evening, collecting 1250 baht each as losing semi-finalists.
