Xmas High Roller Report

MAIN EVENT – 60 Players.

Our last tournament of 2018 was last weekend’s Xmas High Roller, and what another massive event it was, attracting a near capacity field of 60 players.

Congratulations go to Bangkok based Thai Park Supat Wattanawanna for winning and pocketing the 1st Prize of 30000 baht.

He played exceptionally well all weekend to lift the trophy, ending up a very worthy winner.

In the final he played another player in top form, England’s Dave Chalmers.

With Park qualifying for the final from the Winners Side of the draw, Dave would have to beat him twice to claim victory with the match being a level race to 6 racks.

Dave got off to the best possible start in the first set, winning the first four racks, and from there maintained his advantage to seal the set 6-2.

The second and deciding set was a different story altogether though, with Park racing out to a 3-0 lead.

He continued to pile on the pressure, hardly giving Dave a chance, and ended up sealing a comfortable victory by 6 racks to 0.

Both finalists can be proud of their performance over the weekend, being the two most consistent players, with consolation for Dave being in the form of 18000 baht as Runner-Up.

Next in line was Hua Hin based Englishman Liam Werrett, who yet again showed improvement in his game.

He was disappointed with his performances towards the end of Day 2, but finishing 3rd out of 60 runners was a great effort, and he took home 13000 baht prize money.

Germany’s Steffen Adler came next.
Having had minimal success here in the past, he was another who showed improvement to finish 4th, collecting 10000 baht.
