Thurs 29-03 : Dennis Wins


Another fantastic turn out of 38 players for this week’s Thursday 9 Ball Competition, which saw Canada’s Dennis Presiloski take the spoils.

He was in top form all night long off his recently increased handicap, to win six consecutive matches and pocket the 1st Prize of 6000 baht.

In the final he beat Hua Hin based Filipino Jayson de Chavez, 3-5 in racks (race 3-8) after both players agreed to play a shorter race than scheduled (4-11).

Jayson lost his very first match of the evening in the group stages, before winning five straight to reach the final, and took home 3500 baht in 2nd.

Tuesday’s 10 Ball champion, Vincent Coleman from Ireland, and another Hua Hin based player, Phil Dodd from England, both reached the semi-finals, collecting 2000 baht each.

Champion : Dennis (A+4) – 6000 baht.
Runner-Up : Jayson (A+11) – 3500 baht.
Semi-finals : Vincent (A+9) and Phil (A+4) – 2000 baht each.
Quarter-finals : Che Lemmon (A+7), Go Hongyok (A+3), Albert Gringhuis (A+1), and Nae Nakjui (A+1) – 750 baht each.

The Player Auction created one of our biggest weekly Prize Pots, totalling 51300 baht, and was won by Markus Nolberczak from Germany.

He bought our champion for 1200 baht, and bagged the massive 1st Payout of 14100.

1st (28%) : Markus (Dennis 1200) – 14100 baht.
2nd (22%) : Me (Jayson 2000) – 11200 baht.
Equal 3rd (13%) : Vincent (Himself 1600) and Barry Mutch (Phil 1500) – 7000 baht each.
Equal 5th (6%) : Vincent (Field 2300), Russell Masciotti (Go 1000), Tommy Fineman (Albert 1300), and Bryan Randy Seib (Nae 800) – 3000 baht each.
