Thursday’s 9 Ball Competition saw another great turnout of 31 players from 14 different countries, and we had a first time winner.

England’s Andy Featherstone, playing here for the 22nd time, and playing in his third final, finally managed to get over the winning line to collect the 1st Prize of 6000 baht.

In the final he defeated Nan Nannygirl Dajan from Thailand in the deciding rack (race 8-4) by 8 racks to 3.

He had to do it the hard way though, as after five racks he trailed 3-2, before winning the last six games to seal a tense victory.

His handicap now moves up to A+7 as a result.

Nan took home 3500 baht as Runner-Up.

Dante Sison from The Philippines and Adam Lux from Australia both reached the semi-finals, receiving 1500 baht each.

Winner : Andy F (A+6) – 6000 baht.
Runner-Up : Nan (A+2) – 3500 baht.
Semi-finals : Dante (A+4) and Adam (A+1) – 1500 baht each.
Quarter-finals : Billy Hayes (A+6), Paddy Easter (A+5), Jimmy Schmitt (A+4) and Denis Husson (A+3) – 500 baht each.

The Player Auction broke the weekly record for the highest Prize Pool, with a massive 24300 baht, and was won by Gerhard Schebler from Germany.

He paid 600 baht for Andy, and collected the !st Payout of 9800.

1st (40%) : Gerhard (Andy F) – 9800 baht.
2nd (30%) : Jens (Nan) – 7300 baht.
Equal 3rd (15%) : Marko K (Dante) – 3600 baht.
Equal 3rd (15%) : Olly (Adam) – 3600 baht.
