THURSDAY 9 BALL – 27th SEPTEMBER : ADAM WINS.
One of our regular players, Australia’s Adam Lux waa the winner of last night’s 9 Ball Competition.
From an excellent entry of 29 players from 13 different countries, he defeated England’s Craig Jones in the final, 4-5 in racks (race 4-9) to claim the 1st Prize of 6000 baht.
He did lose his second match of the evening in the group stages, before raising his game to win his next five matches and seal victory.
Craig also had to use his second life to get out of the groups, having lost his very first match of the night.
He also won five consecutive matches to reach the final, before finding the handicap too much against Adam, and had to settle for 3500 baht in 2nd Place.
Sunday and Tuesday champion Abdulah Ahmad from Qatar was once again involved at the business end, this time reaching the semi-finals, along with Thailand’s Go Hongyok, and they each collected 1500 baht.
Champion : Adam (A+3) – 6000 baht.
Runner-Up : Craig (A+8) – 3500 baht.
Semi-finals : Abdulah (A+4) and Go (A+4) – 1500 baht each.
The Player Auction Prize Pot totalled 26200 baht and was won by our champion Adam.
He bought himself for 1100 baht, and added an extra 8000 to his winnings on the evening.
1st (30%) : Adam (Himself) – 8000 baht.
2nd (22%) : Craig (Himself) – 5800 baht.
Equal 3rd (12%) : Abdulah (Himself) and Gerhard (Go) – 3000 baht each.
Equal 5th (6%) : Gan (Spencer), Olly (Hassain Qattan), Gerhard (Børre Karaka), and Tommy Fineman (Markus) – 1600 baht each.
