Thurs 22-03 : Joss Wins


Thursday’s 9 Ball Competition provided us with a first-time winner.

Joss Nadav from Israel, playing here for the 48th time, won seven consecutive matches to lift the trophy and pocket the 1st Prize of 6000 baht.

From a massive entry of 35 players, he beat Germany’s Markus Nolberczak in the deciding rack of the final (race 5-4), and his handicap now moves up to A+2 as a result.

Markus, who was also undefeated in reaching the final before falling just short against Joss, had to settle for 3000 baht in 2nd Place.

Hassain Qattan from Bahrain and “Texas” Dave Rester from The USA both reached the semi-finals taking home 1500 baht each.

Champion : Joss (A+1) – 6000 baht.
Runner-Up : Markus (A+) – 3000 baht.
Semi-finals : Hassain (A+6) and Texas Dave (A+2) – 1500 baht each.
Quarter-finals : Jay-r Punzalan (A+8), Tukta Juppejup (A+2), Børre Kofoed Karaka (A+2), and Eric Sherman (A+) – 750 baht each.

The Player Auction Prize Pot totalled 41400 baht and was dominated by Jeff Schmitt from The USA.

He bought both Joss and Texas Dave for a total 2500 baht, and bagged the combined payout of 17100 for 1st and 3rd!!

1st (28%) : Jeff (Joss 700) – 11700 baht.
2nd (22%) : Andy Hall (Markus 1000) – 9000 baht.
Equal 3rd (13%) : Jeff (Texas 1800) and Dominique Zagouri (Hassain 1000) – 5400 baht each.
Equal 5th (6%) : Olly (Jr 1500), Mike B (Tukta 1300), Stephen Moore (Borre 700), and Himmy Manchanda (Eric 500) – 2400 baht each.
