Thurs 21-09 : Eamonn Wins


Another first time winner in last night’s 9 Ball Competition.

Eamonn O’Doherty from England, playing in his 12th Megabreak competition, played well all evening to win six consecutive matches and take home the 1st Prize of 6000 baht.

From a high entry of 27 players from 10 different countries, he defeated Megabreak stalwart, Albert Gringhuis from The Netherlands in the final by 6 racks to 1 (race 6-4).

Albert also played well to reach the final, before running out of steam against Eamonn, and collected 3500 baht as Runner-Up.

Dante Sison from The Philippines and Thailand’s Joe Anusron Simma were the other money winners on the evening, receiving 1500 baht each for reaching the semi-finals.

Winner : Eamonn (A+3) – 6000 baht.
Runner-Up : Albert (A+1) – 3500 baht.
Semi-finals : Dante (A+3) and Joe (A+2) – 1500 baht each.

The Player Auction continues to grow and grow, with another massive Prize Pool of 21300 baht being created.

Eamonn turned a good night into a great one by buying himself in the auction for 1100 baht, and adding an extra 8500 to his winnings in 1st Place.

1st (40%) : Eamonn (Himself) – 8500 baht.
2nd (30%) : Gerhard Schebler (Albert) – 6400 baht.
Equal 3rd (15%) : David Chalmers (Dante) – 3200 baht.
Equal 3rd (15%) : Nid (Joe) – 3200 baht.
