Thurs 16-11 : Kim Wins


We had a “first time” winner of our 9 Ball Competition on Thursday night.

Kim Muller from Australia, playing here for the 14th time, and returning for the first time in just over three years, played well to remain undefeated all night long, winning six consecutive matches and collect the 1st Prize of 6500 baht.

From a total entry of 32 players from 14 different countries, which included another high entry of 12 players from the home nation, he defeated Jr Punzalan from The Philippines in the final, 4-5 in racks (race 4-7), and his handicap now moves up to A+5 as a result.

Jr also played well to reach the final, before falling just short against Kim, and took home 3500 baht in 2nd Place.

Nam Rotjana Tiengtam from Thailand and Adam Lux from Australia both reached the semi-finals, and received 1500 baht each.

Champion : Kim (A+4) – 6500 baht.
Runner-Up : Jr (A+7) – 3500 baht.
Semi-finals : Nam (A+3) and Adam (A+1) – 1500 baht each.
Quarter-finals : Fon (A+7), Pete Jensen (A+4), Jeff Schmitt (A+3), and Dennis Presiloski (A+3) – 500 baht each.

The Player Auction Prize Pool totalled 28900 baht and was won by our resident Dutchman, Albert Gringhuis.

He bought Kim for just 600 baht, and collected the 1st Payout of 8700.

1st (30%) : Albert (Kim) – 8700 baht.
2nd (22%) : Jr (Himself) – 6400 baht.
Equal 3rd (12%) : Tukta (Nam) and Jens (Adam) – 3500 baht each.
Equal 5th (6%) : Jens (Fon), Dennis (Peter), Russell Masciotti (Jeff), and Jeff (Dennis) – 1700 baht each.
