Thurs 15-02 : Peter Wins


Denmark’s Peter Nielsen continued his recent run of good form to win our 9 Ball Competition on Thursday night.

From another excellent entry of 34 players from 15 different countries, he comfortably beat Filipino Jr Punzalan in Thursday’s final by 4 racks to 2 (race 4-6), to collect the 1st Prize of 6000 baht.

Jr played well to reach the final, before running into our champion, and bagged 3000 baht as Runner-Up.

His handicap also moves up to A+8 as a result.

Tommy Fineman from Israel and Jape Lappetelainen from Finland both reached the semi-finals, taking home 1500 baht each.

Champion : Peter (A+5) – 6000 baht.
Runner-Up : Jr (A+7) – 3000 baht.
Semi-finals : Tommy (A+8) and Jape (A+5) – 1500 baht each.
Quarter-finals : Jussi Rautio (A+8), Nid Mirantee Phukthamt (A+5), Brian Seib (A+2) and Sami Granqvist (A+2) – 750 baht each.

The Player Auction created another massive Prize Pool of 44600 baht, and was won by Dave Chalmers from England.

He paid 1600 baht for Peter, and pocketed the 1st Payout of 12200.

1st (28%) : Dave C (Peter) – 12200 baht.
2nd (22%) : Gerhard Schebler (Jr) – 10000 baht.
Equal 3rd (13%) : Pedro (Tommy) and Jape (Himself) – 6000 baht each.
Equal 5th (6%) : Jape (Jussi), Olly (Nid), Jeff Schmitt (Brian), and Dave C (Sami) – 2600 baht each.
