THURSDAY 9 BALL – 11th OCTOBER : BORRE WINS AGAIN.
Thursday’s 9 Ball Competition saw Norway’s Børre Karaka claim victory for the second consecutive week.
He continued his recent run of excellent form to stay undefeated all night long whilst winning six matches, and pocket the 1st Prize of 5500 baht.
From another high entry of 31 players, he defeated Filipino Jayson de Chavez Bilyaristang Guro in the final, 3-9 in racks (race 3-12) and his handicap now moves up to A+3 as a result.
Jayson, who was the highest handicapped player on the night, also played some excellent pool to reach the final before finding the handicap too much against Borre, and took home 3000 baht as Runner-Up.
Good performances from Germany’s Heiko Kadel and local Thai player Bandit Sribura saw them reach the semi-finals and collect 1500 baht each.
Champion : Borre (A+2) – 5500 baht.
Runner-Up : Jayson (A+13) – 3000 baht.
Semi-finals : Heiko (A+6) and Bandit (A+3) – 1500 baht each.
Quarter-finals : Tom Fossum (A+11), Nok Yung (A+4), Tarn Sujhitra (A+1), and Albert Gringhuis (A+1) – 500 baht each.
The Player Auction Prize Pot totalled 29600 baht and was won by Jamie Brooks.
He paid the second highest price of the night at 1500 baht for our winner, and they shared the 1st Payout of 9000.
1st (30%) : Jamie (Borre) – 9000 baht.
2nd (22%) : Heiko (Jayson) – 6600 baht.
Equal 3rd (12%) : Me (Heiko and Bandit) – 3400 baht twice.
Equal 5th (6%) : Gan (Tom and Tarn), Jamie (Nok), and Hannu (Albert) – 1800 baht each.
