THURSDAY 9 BALL – 10th JANUARY : ADAM WINS.
Aussie Adam Lux recorded his first victory of 2019 with us on Thursday night, to lift our 9 Ball trophy.
From a total entry of 31 players from 16 different countries, he didn’t get off to the best of starts in the group stages, losing his first match, but from then on he raised his game to win six consecutive matches to seal victory.
In the final he beat local Thai player Bandit Sribura by 5 racks to 1 (race 5-4) to claim the 1st Prize of 5500 baht.
Bandit also lost his very first game of the night, before finding his form to reach the final, and took home 3000 baht as Runner-Up.
His handicap now moves up to A+4 as a result.
Cato Josefsen from Norway and Filipino Dante Sison both played well to reach the semi-finals, taking home 1500 baht each.
Champion : Adam (A+4) – 5500 baht.
Runner-Up : Bandit (A+3) – 3000 baht.
Semi-finals : Cato (A+7) and Dante (A+4) – 1500 baht each.
Quarter-finals : Craig Jones (A+9), Mindaugas Jomantas (A+4), Markus Nolberczak (A+2), and Tor-Arne Fenes (A+1) – 500 baht each.
The Player Auction was back to normal this time in the absence of Jarmo and Jens, with the Prize Pot totalling 35300 baht and being won by Billy Hayes.
He paid just 900 baht for our winner, and they shared the 1st Payout of 10k.

2nd : Markus (Bandit) – 7500 baht.
Equal 3rd : Cato (Himself) and Dante (Himself) – 4000 baht each.
Equal 5th : Cato (Craig), Billy (MIndaugas), Mike B (Markus), and Olly (Tor Arne) – 2000 baht each.
