Thurs 04-10 : Borre Wins

We had a “first time” winner on Thursday night for our 9 Ball Competition.

Børre Karaka from Norway, playing in his 22nd tournament with us, finally got his head in front to claim the 1st Prize of 6000 baht.

From a great turn out of 29 players from 12 different countries, he beat one of the local Thai girls, Nid Mirantee Phukthamt in the final by 4 racks to 2 (race 4-7) to seal victory.

Nid lost her first match of the evening in the groups before raising her game to win five consecutive matches and reach the final, and took home 3500 baht as Runner-Up.

The other money winners on the night were the two highest handicapped players, Tom Fossum and “Snake” Vesa Kulmala.

They both played well to reach the semi-finals before the handicaps took their toll, and pocketed 1500 baht each.

Champion : Borre (A+2) – 6000 baht.
Runner-Up : Nid (A+5) – 3500 baht.
Semi-finals : Tom (A+11) and Snake (A+10) – 1500 baht each.
