THURSDAY 9 BALL – 2nd MAY : TOMMY WINS.
Israeli potter Tommy Fineman was in the winners enclosure again on Thursday night to claim victory in our 9 Ball Competition.
From a massive entry of 34 players from 13 different countries, he beat Alex Kudinov from Russia in the deciding rack of the final (race 7-4) to receive the 1st Prize of 6000 baht.
The Russian was on the hill and looked set for the win with the score at 4-3, but Tommy dug deep to win the last three racks and snatch victory away from him.
Consolation for Alex was in the form of 3000 baht as Runner-Up.
His handicap now moves up to A+7 as a result.
Joe Nagle from Ireland and local Thai girl Nid Mirantee Phukthamt both reached the semi-finals, pocketing 1500 baht each.
Champion : Tommy (A+9) – 6000 baht.
Runner-Up : Alex (A+6) – 3000 baht.
Semi-finals : Joe (A+5) and Nid (A+5) – 1500 baht each.
Quarter-finals : Fon (A+9), Go Hongyok (A+4), Toni Niemi (A+2) and Albert Gringhuis (A+1) – 750 baht each.
The Player Auction created a superb extra Prize Pot of 50900 baht and was won by Olly Downey.
He paid 1500 baht for our winner, and they shared the 1st Payout of 14200.

2nd : Jarmo Smedroos (Alex) – 10000 baht.
Equal 3rd : Fon (Joe) and Vincent Coleman (Nid) – 6000 baht each.
