SUNDAY 9 BALL GRAND FINAL : THOMAS WINS.
Congratulations go to Sweden’s Thomas Pettersson for winning our Sunday 9 Ball Grand Final for Season 20 on Saturday night.
Once again the tournament was dominated by players at the lower end of the handicap scale, with the top 3 all being A+3 handicap or less.
From the full field of 16 players Thomas defeated Gerhard Schebler from Germany in the final to collect the 1st Prize of 10000 baht.
He had to do it the hard way though, as Gerhard had qualified from the Winners side of the draw, so Thomas had to beat him twice.
He knuckled down to the job in hand (race 5-4), and beat him by 5 racks to 2 in both sets.
Gerhard played well to reach the final and pocketed 6000 baht in 2nd Place.
His handicap now moves up to A+3 for the first time as a result.
Canada’s Dennis Presiloski was next in line, finishing in 3rd Place and taking home 4500 baht.
His handicap is also increased by one rack to A+4.
