Sunday Top 16 : Roland Wins


Filipino Roland Garcia was in awesome form to win our Sunday 9 Ball Grand Final for Season 18 on Saturday night.

From the full entry of 16 players he defeated Israel’s Tommy Fineman in the final of the Double Elimination event to collect the 1st Prize of 10000 baht.

Roland played pool of the highest level all night long.
He was undefeated through five straight matches, whilst only dropping 10 racks in total, and was a very worthy winner.

He played Tommy in a Megabreak final for the third time in the last 11 days, and once again came out on top, this time by 8 racks to 1 (race 8-4).

Tommy continued his recent run of consistency to reach yet another final, only losing out to Roland (twice) on the evening, and took home 6000 baht as Runner-Up.

Sweden’s Håkan Ekberg played well to finish in 3rd place, defeated only by Roland and Tommy, and he received 4500 baht.
He was closely followed by Kasper Krohns from Finland in 4th, collecting 3000 baht.

In Equal 5th Place were Jerome Pierron from France and Dennis Presiloski from Canada, each taking home 2000 baht.

Runner-Up : Tommy Fineman (A+7) – 6000 baht.
3rd Place : Håkan Ekberg (A+7) – 4500 baht.
4th Place : Kasper Krohns (A+5) – 3000 baht.
Equal 5th Place : Jerome Pierron (A+3) and Dennis Presiloski (A+3) – 2000 baht each.
Equal 7th Place : Scott Cooney (Pro) and Preecha (A+20) – 1000 baht each.

The Calcutta Auction created an extra Prize Pool of 8100 baht and was won by Zoli Pocza from The USA.

He paid a massive 1500 baht for Roland in the auction, but it paid off as he more than doubled his money to collect the 1st Prize of 3300.

1st (40%) : Zoli Pocza (Roland) – 3300 baht.
2nd (30%) : Tommy Fineman (Himself) – 2400 baht.
3rd (20%) : Scott Cooney (Hakan) – 1600 baht.
4th (10%) : Scott Cooney (Kasper) – 800 baht.
