Sun 25-03 : Jarmo Wins

Jarmo Paakkonen from Finland made a winning return to Megabreak on Sunday to win our 9 Ball Competition.

Playing here for the first time in just over two years, and with an increased handicap, he went all the way to claim the 1st Prize of 6000 baht.

He did lose his very first match of the evening in the double chance stages, before raising his game to win six straight matches and lift the trophy.

In the final he beat Tukta Kulsuttichai by the narrowest of margins (5-4, race to 5), and his handicap now moves up to A+3 as a result.

Tukta played well to reach the final, but had to settle for the Runners-Up spot and 3000 baht.

The other money winners on the evening were Joel Wenger from Switzerland, and new player, Tjeerd Hoekema from The Netherlands, who each took home 1500 baht as losing semi-finalists.

Joel’s handicap also moves up to A+15.
