Sun 22-04 : Nok Wins

Nok Yung became only the third female player to win a tournament here this year in last night’s 9 Ball, as our weekly action resumed as normal after the Songkran Festival.

A smaller entry than usual of 18 players, produced an “All Thai” final with Nok defeating last year’s National 9 Ball Champion Pipe Tanut Makkamontree in the deciding rack (race 4-10) to pocket the 1st Prize of 4000 baht.

Pipe played some brilliant pool to reach the final, before ending up a very unlucky loser against Nok, and took home 2000 baht in 2nd Place.

Aussie Adam Lux, and Eddy Schluger from Israel were the other money winners on the night, collecting 1000 baht each for reaching the semi-finals.

Champion : Nok (A+3) – 4000 baht.
Runner-Up : Pipe (A+20) – 2000 baht.
Semi-finals : Adam (A+2) and Eddy (A+) – 1000 baht each.

The Player Auction Prize Pot totalled 14300 baht and was dominated by Olly Downey.

He bought Nok, Adam, and Eddy for a combined total of just 1800 baht, and bagged the Payouts for 1st, 3rd and 4th.

1st (40%) : Olly (Nok) – 5600 baht.
2nd (30%) : Me (Pipe) – 4300 baht.
Equal 3rd (15%) : Olly (Adam and Eddy) – 2200 baht twice.
