Sun 21-01 : Peter Wins


Denmark’s Peter Niesen took full advantage of his new handicap mark to win last night’s 9 Ball Competition.

Having moved down the handicap scale to A+4 after Thursday’s tournament, he returned to form to pocket the 1st Prize of 5000 baht.

He lost his very first match of the tournament in the group stages, before winning his next six to lift the trophy.

In the final he beat Thursday’s champion, Joy Misaki Labora from The Philippines by 8 racks to 2 (race 8-4).

Joy continued her recent run of excellent form to reach the final, and took home 3000 baht as Runner-Up.
Her handicap now moves up to A+1 as well.

Champion : Peter (A+4) – 5000 baht.
Runner-Up : Joy (A+) – 3000 baht.
Semi-finals : Mike Berezovsky (A+7) and Miikka Karila (A+1) – 1000 baht each.

The Player Auction Prize Pool totalled 25000 baht and was won for the 4th time in recent weeks by Billy Hayes.

He paid 1200 to get Peter, and collected the 1st Payout of 10k.

1st (40%) : Billy (Peter) – 10000 baht.
2nd (30%) : David Chalmers (Joy) – 7400 baht.
Equal 3rd (15%) : Zana Anwar (Mike B) and Mike B (Miikka) – 3800 baht each.
