SUNDAY 9 BALL – 17th DECEMBER : SNAKE WINS.

Vesa “Snake” Kulmala from Finland was in sensational form to win our 9 Ball Competition on Sunday night.

From a total entry of 30 players from 15 different countries he beat Israel’s Tommy Fineman in the final by 7 racks to 1 to receive the 1st Prize of 6500 baht.

But his great performance wasn’t just in the final.

He was undefeated all night long through six consecutive matches, winning a total of 57 racks whilst only losing 5!!

He recorded results of 10-1, 10-1, 10-0, 10-1, and 10-1 en route to the final before another comfortable win saw him lift the trophy.

Tommy, who was Runner-Up in last Sunday’s tournament, lost his very first match of the evening in the Group Stages to Estonian professional Denis Grabe, before raising his game to win his next four and reach the final.

He collected 3500 baht in 2nd Place.

Sweden’s Thomas Pettersson and Markus Jo Ma No Nolberczak from Germany were the other money winners on the evening, taking home 1500 baht each for reaching the semi-finals.

Champion : Snake (A+9) – 6500 baht.
Runner-Up : Tommy (A+7) – 3500 baht.
Semi-finals : Thomas (A+3) and Markus (A+) – 1500 baht each.

We had another massive Prize Pot of 34300 baht in the Player Auction, which saw Peter Nielsen from Denmark win.

Snake was his only buy at 1400 baht, but that was all he needed to pocket the 1st Payout of 10300.

1st (30%) : Peter (Snake) – 10300 baht.
2nd (22%) : Charlie Ayres (Tommy) – 7600 baht.
Equal 3rd (12%) : Denis Grabe (Thomas) and Markus (Himself) – 4200 baht each.
Equal 5th (6%) : Charlie (Craig Jones), Russell (Jeff Schmitt), Hannu Torpström (Himself), Thomas Pettersson (Dan Björling) – 2000 baht each.
