Sun 13-05 : Sharon Wins

Israel’s Sharon Michaelovic won for the first time at Megabreak in this week’s Sunday 9 Ball Competition.

He has been a regular holiday player in our tournaments here for the last six years, without ever managing to get his head in front, but on Sunday he finally got everything right to lift the trophy and pocket the 1st Prize of 5000 baht.

From a total entry of 24 players, he beat Tom Blauscut from Germany in the final, 4-5 in racks (race 4-8), and his handicap now moves up to A+7 as a result.

Tom, playing for only the second time at Megabreak, played well to reach the final, before finding the handicap too much against Sharon, and took home 3000 baht in 2nd Place.

The other money winners on the night were two Thai girls, Nok Yung and Tukta Juppejup, who each received 1250 baht for reaching the semi-finals.

Champion : Sharon (A+6) – 5000 baht.
Runner-Up : Tom B (A+10) – 3000 baht.
Semi-finals : Nok (A+3) and Tukta (A+2) – 1250 baht each.

The Player Auction Prize Fund totalled 22000 baht, and was won by Aussie Adam Lux.

He paid 1400 baht for our champion, and bagged the 1st payout of 9000.

1st (40%) : Adam (Sharon) – 9000 baht.
2nd (30%) : Dominique Zagouri (Tom B) – 6600 baht.
Equal 3rd (15%) : Tommy Fineman (Nok and Tukta) – 3200 baht twice.
