Sun 12-11 : Nittha Wins


Nittha Punsuk made it two victories for the Thai girls in less than 24 hours to win Sunday’s 9 Ball Competition.

Following on from Nid Mirantee Phukthamt’s Grand Final success the night before, she lifted the trophy and took home the 1st Prize of 6500 baht.

From a total entry of 34 players from 18 different countries, she beat Peter Nielsen from Denmark by 4 racks to 3 (race 4-8).

Peter, playing in his first tournament since returning to Thailand, played well to reach the final and collected 3500 as Runner-Up.

Russell Masciotti from The USA and Dennis Presiloski from Canada both reached the semi-finals, receiving 2000 baht each.

Champion : Nittha (A+) – 6500 baht.
Runner-Up : Peter (A+4) – 3500 baht.
Semi-finals : Russell (A+6) and Dennis (A+3) – 2000 baht each.
Quarter-finals : Tom Rooney (A+7), Charlie Ayres (A+6), Hannu Torpström (A+2), and May (A) – 500 baht each.

The Player Auction created an extra Prize Pool of 27000 baht and was won by Oliver Downey.

He bought Nittha for just 500 baht, and collected the massive 1st Payout of 9400.

1st (35%) : Olly (Nittha) – 9400 baht.
2nd (25%) : Russell (Peter) – 6600 baht.
Equal 3rd (10%) : Eddy Hoffie (Russell) and Tommy Fineman (Dennis) – 2700 baht each.
Equal 5th (5%) : Russell (Tom), Charlie (Himself), Hannu (Himself), and Erik Makitalo (May) – 1400 baht each.
