Sunday’s 9 Ball Competition was dominated by the Americans this week, with “New Yorker” Russell Masciotti and Mike Warner from Las Vegas contesting the final.
And it was Russell who would take home the 1st Prize of 5500 baht, beating Mike by 7 racks to 2 (race 7-4).
Mike pocketed 3000 baht as Runner-Up, and both players handicaps are increased by one rack as a result, to A+7 and A+4 respectively.
Hassain Qattan from Bahrain and Stígur “Bandai” Hannesson from Iceland, both reached the semi-finals, collecting 1500 baht each.
Champion : Russell (A+6) – 5500 baht.
Runner-Up : Mike (A+3) – 3000 baht.
Semi-finals : Hassain (A+6) and Bandai (A+1) – 1500 baht each.
Quarter-finals : Paul Butcher (A+10), Benedikt Walthard (A+3), Praew Wasana Sipudtha (A+2), and Albert Gringhuis (A+1) – 500 baht each.
The Player Auction Prize Pot totaled 40500 baht and was won by Shaun Bajaj from England.
He bought Russell for 1900 baht, and bagged the 1st Payout of 11500.
1st (28%) : Shaun (Russell) – 11500 baht.
2nd (22%) : Mike Berezovsky (Mike W) – 9000 baht.
Equal 3rd (13%) : Mike B (Hassain) and Eddy Hoffie (Bandai) – 5200 baht each.
Equal 5th (6%) : Olly Downey (Paul B), Renè Heiniger (Beni), Shaun (Praew), and Eddy (Albert) – 2400 baht each.
