Sun 09-09 : Tommy Wins


Israel’s Tommy Fineman was on top form on Sunday night to win our 9 Ball Competition.

After losing his very first match of the evening in the Group Stages, he found his form to reel off six consecutive wins and lift the trophy.

From a total field of 25 players from 10 different countries, he beat Germany’s Daniel Levadi in the final by 5 racks to 3 (race 5-6) to claim the 1st Prize of 5000 baht.

His handicap now moves back up to A+8 as a result.

Daniel also lost his very first match of the tournament in the groups, before raising his game to reach the final, and took home 3000 baht in 2nd Place.

The other money winners on the night were Filipino professional Arnel Bautista, and “Boysie” Jim Stoole from England, who each pocketed 1250 baht as losing semi-finalists.

Champion : Tommy (A+7) – 5000 baht,
Runner-Up : Daniel (A+8) – 3000 baht.
Semi-finals : Arnel (Pro+) and Boysie (A+7) – 1250 baht each.

Our champion Tommy turned a good night into a great one by winning the Player Auction.

He bought himself for 1200 baht out of a Total Pot of 24800, and added an extra 10k to his winnings.

1st (40%) : Tommy (Himself) – 10000 baht.
2nd (30%) : Gan (Daniel) – 7600 baht.
Equal 3rd (15%) : Boysie (Himself and Arnel) – 3600 baht twice.
