Sun 08-10 : Oskar Wins


Finland’s Oskari Hillo, playing at Megabreak for only the second time, went all the way to win this week’s Sunday 9 Ball Competition.

From another excellent entry of 32 players from 16 different countries, he beat Saad Alotaibi from Kuwait in the deciding rack of the final (race to 5) to collect the 1st Prize of 6500 baht.

He lost his very first match of the evening, but then raised his game to win six consecutive matches and lift the trophy.

In the final he trailed 2-0 and then again 4-3, before winning the last two racks to seal victory in a very tense finish.

Saad played his best pool to date at Megabreak to reach his first final, before just falling short against Oskar, and took home 3500 baht as Runner-Up.

Thailand’s Preecha once again played as consistently as ever to reach the semi-finals, along with first-time player Millsy from England, and they each received 1500 baht.

Winner : Oskar (A+6) – 6500 baht.
Runner-Up : Saad (A+6) – 3500 baht.
Semi-finals : Preecha (A+20) and Millsy (A+9) – 1500 baht each.
Quarter-finals : Bo Andersson (A+7), Denis Husson (A+3), Jerome Pierron (A+3), and Nittha Punsuk (A+) – 500 baht each.

The Player Auction broke the record for a weekly competition, with the Prize Pool reaching a massive 26000 baht.

Spencer Henderson from Scotland was the winner, buying Oskar for 1000 baht, and collecting the 1st Payout of 10000!!

1st (40%) : Spencer (Oskar) – 10000 baht.
2nd (30%) : Saad (Himself) – 8000 baht.
Equal 3rd (15%) : Dave Chalmers (Preecha) – 4000 baht.
Equal 3rd (15%) : Scott (Millsy) – 4000 baht.
