Sun 06-08 : Nittha Wins

Last night’s 9 Ball Competition saw a victory for the fairer sex.

Nittha Punsuk became only the third Thai girl to win a Megabreak tournament this year, following in the footsteps of Aom Nantaporn Chomthaisong and Nid Mirantee Phukthamt.

From a total entry of 23 players from 14 different countries, she defeated Frenchman Jerome Pierron in the deciding rack of the final (race 4-7) to collect the 1st Prize of 5500 baht.

Jerome got off to a great start, taking a 3-0 lead before Nittha won the next three racks to put herself on the hill at 3-3.
Jerome wasn’t done yet though, and fought back to win the next three and make it hill hill.
Both players had good chances in the decider, but it was Nittha who potted the last 9 to claim the win in a very tense finish.
