SUNDAY 9 BALL – 3rd DECEMBER : BEER WINS.
We had our second consecutive female winner in last night’s 9 Ball Competition.
Beer Juntra Malison, a regular player here several years ago, became the sixth girl to win a tournament here during 2017.
From another high entry of 29 players from 14 different countries, she beat Scotland’s Tom Rooney in the final by 4 racks to 3 (race 4-10) to collect the 1st Prize of 5500 baht.
She lost her very first match of the evening in the group stages, before raising her game to win six consecutive matches and lift the trophy.
Tom played some excellent pool to reach the final before finding the handicap too tough against Beer, and received 3000 baht in 2nd Place.
Brooksey Brooks from England and Erik Makitalo from Sweden both reached the semi-finals, taking home 1500 baht each.
Champion : Beer (A+1) – 5500 baht.
Runner-Up : Tom (A+7) – 3000 baht.
Semi-finals : Brooksey (A+7) and Erik (A+6) – 1500 baht each.
Quarter-finals : Miksa (A+7), Hannu Torpström (A+2), Tukta Juppejup (A+2), and Markus Jo Ma No (A+) – 500 baht each.
The Player Auction Prize Pool totalled 22600 baht and was won for the 4th time in less than three weeks by Brooksey Brooks.
He only paid the minimum amount of 300 baht to get Beer, and increased his investment 30 times over to pocket the massive 1st Payout of 9000.
1st (40%) : Brooksey (Beer) – 9000 baht.
2nd (30%) : Eddy (Tom) – 6800 baht.
Equal 3rd (15%) : Andy Hall (Brooksey) and Scott (Erik) – 3400 baht each.
