Sunday’s 9 Ball Competition was won by Germany’s Jens Matzel.

From another excellent entry of 34 players from 13 different countries, he beat Bangkok based Thai player “Jack” Nitiwat Khumchart in the final by 6 racks to 3 (race 6-5) to claim the 1st Prize of 6000 baht.

He was on top form all night long, staying undefeated whilst winning six straight matches to lift the trophy.

Runner-Up Jack showed a big improvement in his game to reach the final and took home 3000 baht prize money.

His handicap now moves up to A+7 as a result.

Filipino professional Dean Mark Castronuevo played some superb pool to reach the semi-finals along with Aussie Adam Lux, and they collected 1500 baht each.

Champion : Jens (A+7) – 6000 baht.

Runner-Up : Jack (A+6) – 3000 baht.

Semi-finals : Dean (Pro+) and Adam (A+5) – 1500 baht each.

Quarter-finals : Jeff Schmitt (A+5), Stig Berntsen (A+4), Bo Irint Chinnapant (A+2) and Nae Kunnika Nakjui (A+1) – 750 baht each.

1st : Gerhard (Jens) – 11400 baht.

2nd : Jack (Himself) – 8000 baht.

Equal 3rd : Zoli (Dean) and Vincent (Adam) – 4400 baht each.

Equal 5th : Peter (Jeff), Praew (Stig), Bo (Herself) and Gerhard (Nae) – 2000 baht each.
