SUNDAY 9 BALL – 1st JULY : TOM WINS.
Last night’s 9 Ball was dominated by the “Two Tommy’s”, with Scotland’s Tommy Rooney meeting Israel’s Tommy Fineman in the final.
And from a total entry of 24 players, it was the Scottish version who lifted the trophy and pocketed the 1st Prize of 5000 baht, with a 6-3 victory (race 6-5).
He played consistently well all night long to go undefeated in five straight matches, and ended up a worthy winner.
Our Israeli resident also did well to reach the final having lost his very first match in the groups, and took home the Runners-Up prize of 3000 baht.
The other money winners on the night were Thai player Joe Jamnan Jitpakdee from Bangkok, and Nelson Tyler from The USA, who each received 1250 baht as losing semi-finalists.
Nelson’s handicap now moves up to A+2 for the very first time as well.
Champion : Tom Rooney (A+8) – 5000 baht.
Runner-Up : Tommy Fineman (A+7) – 3000 baht.
Semi-finals : Joe (A+6) and Nelson (A+1) – 1250 baht each.
The Player Auction Prize Pool totalled 19500 baht, and was won by Gerhard Schebler.
He paid 1300 baht for our champion, and they shared the 1st Payout of 8000.
1st (40%) : Gerhard (Tom R) – 8000 baht.
2nd (30%) : Me (Tommy) – 5500 baht.
Equal 3rd (15%) : Tommy Moore (Joe) and Nelson (Himself) – 3000 baht each.
